In Grodzki, Lynn (Ed.), The new private practice. New York: W. W. Norton & Co, Inc, 2002.
Abstract: In this chapter, the author describes her uncommon-sense approach in her work as a coach with individuals who aspired to improve their performance in some area. The tools and frames of reference within the coach setting include brief strategic therapy, solution-focused therapy, Ericksonian hypnosis, and neurolinguistic programming. Examples of this approach are given with 4 clients with the goals of seeking to improve their public speaking, succeed at an audition, improve a marital relationship, and have a son succeed at school.
