Loomis M E, Cohen M Z: A test of the relationship between stress and primary representational systems.
Transactional Analysis Journal 14(1): 80-82, 1984.
Abstract: Tested the association between the level of job stress and the number of representational systems in strategies used by 172 19-84 yr old employees of 3 Michigan mental health agencies to cope with job stress. Contrary to the theory of neurolinguistic programming, data indicate a significantly larger number of representational systems used by Ss with high levels of perceived job stress; these Ss also reported using more coping strategies.
