Abstract: Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) as a model of human behaviour is presented. Its basic tenets and the factors that give rise to the physiological and emotional response to an external event are described. A number of psychotherapeutic interventions are also described, along with the influence of NLP on sporting and academic success. Finally, an exploration of these ideas for the purpose of contributing to personal well-being is given.
